Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

This technique is used to detect surface and slightly subsurface flaws in most ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, and cobalt, and some of their alloys. Because it does not necessitate the degree of surface preparation required by other nondestructive test methods, conducting MPT is relatively fast and easy.

Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

Dye penetrant testing (PT) is widely considered the most common non-destructive testing method, enabling our technicians to detect surface flaws such as hairline cracks, surface porosity and fatigue cracks on in-service components on a wide range of energy infrastructures.

Radiography Testing (RT)

Is a technique that involves the use of either x-rays or gamma rays to view the internal structure of a component. In the petrochemical industry, RT is often used to inspect machinery, such as pressure vessels and valves, to detect for flaws. RT is also used to inspect weld repairs.

Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Ultrasonic Testing is a group of nondestructive examination (NDE) techniques that use short, high-frequency ultrasonic waves to identify flaws in a material. They generally work by emitting waves into a material. By measuring these waves, the properties of the material and internal flaws can be identified.

Visual Testing (VT)

Visual Inspection, or Visual Testing (VT), is the oldest and most basic method of inspection. It is the process of looking over a piece of equipment using the naked eye to look for flaws. It requires no equipment except the naked eye of a trained inspector.

Hardness Testing (HT)

Positive Material Identification (PMI)

Positive Material Identification is an in-depth evaluation of metallic alloys. PMI determines composition by identifying quantities of an alloy’s essential elements.

Ferrite Testing (FT)

Ferrite testing is a rapid non-destructive inspection method used to measure the amount of delta ferrite on austenitic stainless steel and duplex stainless steel materials. Ensuring proper ferrite content ensures corrosion resistance, durability and crack prevention.
